The title compound is prepared in analogy to 4,N-dihydroxy-3,5-dimethyl-benzamidine starting from ethyl 4-cyanobenzoate; LC-MS: tR=0.55 min, [M+1]+=209.05; 1H NMR (D6-DMSO): δ 1.33 (t, J=7.0 Hz, 3H), 4.32 (q, J=7.0 Hz, 2H), 5.94 (s, 2H), 7.83 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 2H), 7.95 (d, J=7.8 Hz, 2H), 9.91 (s, 1H).
