The title compound is obtained as a beige oil (1.16 g) in analogy to rac-4-(2,2-dimethyl-[1,3]dioxolan-4-ylmethoxy)-N-hydroxy-3,5-dimethyl-benzamidine starting from 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-methyl-benzonitrile and L-alpha-beta-isopropyliden glycerol; LC-MS: tR=0.65 min, [M+H]+=311.0.
