Reaction Steps
To (R)-tert-butyl-2-(isoquinolin-6-ylamino)-2-oxo-1 phenyl-ethylcarbamate (E1) in CH2Cl2 was added HCl (4M in dioxane) and the solution was stirred overnight at room temperature. The reaction was concentrated to give (R)-2-amino-N-(isoquinolin-6-yl)-2-phenylacetamide dihydrochloride (E2).
