1-[2-(2-Iodo-4,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)-acetyl]-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyridin-4-one was prepared by reacting (2-iodo-4,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)-acetic acid with 2-Phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyridin-4-one following the procedure of step 3 of Example 1.
