Psoromic acid (1 mmol) was dissolved in pyridine (2 ml) and glacial acetic acid (1 ml). The reaction was stirred for 14 hours at room temperature. Most of the solvent was removed by rotatory evaporation. The residue was taken up in methylene chloride, washed with water and saturated brine, dried with anhydrous MgSO4, evaporated by a rotatory evaporator and purified by column chromatography.
