Benzoyl isothiocyanate (66.5 μL) was added to a solution of (±)-[(3R*,4S*)-4-amino-4-(4-bromo-thiophen-2-yl)-tetrahydro-pyran-3-yl]methanol (144 mg) in dichloromethane (5 mL). The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, and then the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to obtain the title compound (233 mg).
