A solution of 844 mg of (3R,5S)-3-methyl-5-[(S)-1-(2-nitrobenzenesulfonyl)aziridin-2-yl]dihydrofuran-2-one obtained in Example (76g) (2.59 mmol) and 733 mg of 5,5-dimethyl-1-(5-fluoro-2-methylphenyl)piperazin-2-one obtained in Example (70d) (3.10 mmol) in toluene (26 ml) was stirred at 110° C. for two hours. After cooling, the reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (elution solvent:methylene chloride/ethyl acetate=3/1-1/1) to obtain 1.39 g of the title compound (yield: 95%).
