Reaction Steps
A solution of Example 74A (448 mg) and 1,3-dichloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (282 mg) in dichloromethane (15 mL) was stirred for 8 hours, diluted with 10% sodium bisulfite (30 mL), and extracted with dichloromethane. The extract was washed with water and brine (30 mL), and dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated.
