Reaction Steps
The title compound was prepared according to previously reported procedure (see pending U.S. patent application Ser. No. 11/575,187) from (R)-methyl 2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-3-iodopropanoate and 4-iodo-2-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine (this starting material was prepared according to a procedure described in Eur. J. Org. Chem. 2003, 1559-1568).
