Reaction Steps

A mixture of 0.06 g (0.1 mmol) of the compound of step d), 2 ml of methanol, and a catalytic amount of scandium trifluoromethanesulfonate was heated to 105° C. for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was allowed to cool, the solvent was evaporated, and the residual purified by chromatography on silica (CH2Cl2:MeOH 97:3) to give 54 mg (93%) of the sub-title amide.
