4.72 g of 3,4-dichlorobenzo[d]isothiazole-1,1-dioxide were added to 15 ml of 25% ammonia in 15 ml of ice water. After stirring at room temperature for two hours, the desired product was sucked off and dried; yield 4.20 g; melting-point 260° C.
