Reaction Steps
A solution of 3,4-dimethoxy-1,2,5-thiadiazole 1-oxide obtained from the above Step A is reacted with an equimolar amount of 2-[(5-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methylthio]ethylamine and the resulting 3-{2-[(5-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methylthio]ethylamino}-4-methoxy-1,2,5-thiadiazole 1-oxide is treated with an excess of methylamine, and the title compound is thereby produced.
