Ethyl 2-(1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)acetate (9.5 g.) and isopentyl nitrite (10 ml.) were reacted according to a similar manner to that of Example 3(a)(1) to give ethyl 2-hydroxyimino-2-(1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)acetate (a mixture of syn and anti isomers) (10.5 g.), mp 60° to 66° C.
