This compound was prepared from 4n-hexylbenzoic acid (18, 72.34 g, 0.28 mol), in a manner similar to the procedure described for trans-4-n-butylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid (11) in Example I, Preparation 1, in an overall yield of 60% (35.7 g), m.p. 30+C. (pet. ether).
