Procedure
7.56 g of N-pyrid-3-ylmethylethylenediamine, 7.31 g of dimethyl-N-cyanothioiminocarbonate and 20 mg of dimethylaminopyridine in 50 ml of acetonitrile are heated at reflux for 3 hours. The product crystallises out when the mixture has cooled. The resulting crystals are filtered off and washed with ether, yielding the title compound of formula ##STR6## having a melting point of 126.5°-128.5° C. (compound No. 1).
