Procedure
In 3,000 ml of water were dissolved 28 g of gelatin and 13.2 g of benzotriazole, and the resulting gelatin solution was kept at 40° C. To the gelatin solution, 100 ml of an aqueous solution containing 17 g of silver nitrate was added over a period of 2 minutes while stirring. After the emulsion was adjusted to a pH for sedimentation, excess salts were removed. The emulsion was adjusted to a pH of 6.3 to obtain a silver benzotriazole emulsion. The yield of the emulsion was 400 g.
