3-(4-Cyclohex-1-enyl-benzyl)-1-oxa-3-aza-spiro[4.5]decan-2-one (Example 1.31, 15 mg, 0.046 mmol) was dissolved in ethanol (3 mL) in a round bottom flask. Pd/C (5 mg) was added and the flask was flushed with hydrogen and stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered through a diatomaceous earth pad and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give the title product as a white powder (15 mg, quantitative yield). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3): δ (ppm)=7.19 (s, 4H), 4.4 (s, 2H). 3.11 (s, 2H), 1.82 (m, 10H), 1.45 (m, 11H).
