Reaction Steps

To a solution of compound 64 (997 mg, 4 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (12 mL), di-tert-butylcarbonate (1.8 g, 8 mmol) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred for 3 hrs (scheme 14). DMAP (cat.) was added to the solution and the reaction mixture was allowed to stir for additional 76 hours. Solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the crude product was purified by column chromatography, eluent EtOAc/hexane (1:10) to afford the title compound 65 (778 mg, 56% yield) as a colorless oil. MS (m/z): 368.1/370.1 (M+Na).
