Potassium trimethylsilanolate (1.29 g, 9.98 mmol) was added in one portion to a stirred solution of rac-ethyl 2-(trans-4-{2-chloro-4-[({5-[(2,4,5-trifluorophenyl)amino]-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl}carbonyl)amino]phenyl}cyclohexyl)propanoate (Example 641, 550 mg, 1.0 mmol) in THF (10 mL) and the reaction mixture was heated in the microwave at 90° C. for 20 min. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to leave a yellow solid and then a 1M aqueous solution of citric acid (40 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred for 30 mins. The mixture was filtered to leave a solid, which was washed with H2O (20 mL) to give the title compound (570 mg, 97%) as an off-white solid.
