Reaction Steps
A solution of fumaric acid in ethyl acetate was added to a solution of (2-butylindolizin-3-yl){4-[3-(dipropylamino)propyl]phenyl}methanone (9.5 g) in ethyl acetate (39 ml) which have then been heated to 50° C. The medium was cooled to 30° C., seeded, and then cooled to 5° C. After an isothermal period at this temperature, the compound obtained was filtered and dried. In this manner, 9.2 g of the desired compound were obtained.
