A stirred suspension of imidazole-1-carboxylic acid [4-methyl-5-(4-pyrazol-1-yl-phenyl)-thiazol-2-yl]-amide (Intermediate A1) (0.1 g, 0.28 mmol) and 3-amino-N-pyridin-3-yl-propionamide hydroiodide (Intermediate B2) (0.083 g, 0.28 mmol) in dry DMF (1 ml) is treated with TEA. After stirring at room temperature for 1 hour, the solvent is removed in vacuo and purification of the crude residue by chromatography on silica eluting with EtOAc/EtOH (10:1 increasing to 5:1) affords a solid which is recrystallised from EtOAc/EtOH to yield the title compound.
