Reaction Steps

Using the procedure of Step F of Example 9, 4.1 g of the acid of Step C and 4.5 g of (S)α-cyano-3-phenoxy-benzyl alcohol were reacted to obtain 4.7 g of (S)α-cyano-3-phenoxy-benzyl (1R,cis) 2,2-dimethyl-3-[3-oxo-3-(2,2-difluoroethoxy)-1-propynyl]-cyclopropane-carboxylate after elution with a 6-4 mixture of petroleum ether (B. Pt. 40°-70° C.)-isopropyl ether.
