Procedure

In chloroform was dissolved N-benzyloxycarbonyl-L-pyroglutamyl-L-prolyl-L-argininal dibutylacetal hydrochloride (0.3 g, 0.45 mmol). The solution was washed 3 times with saturated sodium sulfate aqueous solution containing 5% sulfuric acid and twice with 20 ml of saturated sodium sulfate aqueous solution. After drying over magnesium sulfate, the mixture was concentrated and dried under reduced pressure to give N-benzyloxycarbonyl-L-pyroglutamyl-L-prolyl-L-argininal dibutylacetal 1/2 sulfate as oil.
