2-{4-[[5-(3-Methyl-5-isoxazolyl)pentyl]oxy]phenyl}-benzothiazole [II; R1 and R2 =H, Het=benzothiazol-2-yl] was prepared from 5 g 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole and 5.1 g 5-(5-bromopentyl)-3-methylisoxazole according to the procedure of Example 4: yield 6.9 g, m.p. 120-121° C. when recrystallized from triethylamine and then from isopropyl acetate.
