Reaction Steps

The procedure of Example 18 was followed starting with (D) of Example 18 (2.5 g, 7.6 mmol) and using diethylamine in place of dibutylamine to produce 0.32 g (12% yield) of the named compound as the HCl salt, mp 219°-220° C. IR(KBr): 3400, 1600 cm-1. MS: 365(MH+). 1H NMR (CDCl3): δ 8.25-6.82 (m, 10H), 4.02 (t, J=5.4 Hz, 2H), 3.14 (m, 6H), 1.99 (m, 4H), 1.36 (m, 6H).
