Reaction Steps
To the ester from step 6 (200 μmol) is disslved in DMSO (1 mL) and a solution of neutralized guanidine in DMSO is added (500 μL, 2 M in DMSO) and allowed to sit at room temperature for 16 h. The reaction is quenched by the addition of glacial AcOH (100 μL) and distilled water (200 μL) and concentrated in vacuo. The residue is dissolved in a mixture of DMSO, MeOH and water (1.5 mL total) and purified by Gilson preparative HPLC system.
