Reaction Steps

A mixture of Example 362D (600 mg) and Pd(OH)2 on carbon (370 mg) in 50 mL of acetic acid and 0.6 mL of concentrated sulfuric acid was reacted under 60 psi pressure for 5 days. After insoluble was filtered off and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo, the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography eluting with 10% ethyl acetate in n-hexane to provide 30 mg of the desired product. MS (ESI(+)) m/e 409 (M+NH4)+; MS (ESI(−)) m/e 390 (M−H)−.
