A mixture of Example 467C (0.31 g, 0.7 mmole) in methanol (10 mL) was treated with 10% Pd/C (100 mg) at ambient temperature under one atmosphere of hydrogen for 16 hours. Filtration and evaporation of the solvent provided the desired product. 0.29 g, 97.5%. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 1.10 (t, 3H), 2.54 (q, 2H), 3.64 (s, 3H), 3.70 (s, 3H), 4.48 (s, 2H), 6.85 (d, 1H), 7.28 (d, 1H), 7.40 (t, 2H), 7.70 (t, 2H), 9.86 (s, 1H); MS (ESI(−)) m/e 424 (M−H)−.
