Reaction Steps

111 mg (0.246 mmol) of 2-acetyl-3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-N-(3,3-diphenylpropyl) acrylamide was dissolved in 5 ml of DMF. 34.9 mg (0.369 mmol) of acetamidine hydrochloride and 24.2 mg of (0.295 mmol) of sodium acetate were added thereto and stirred at 100° C. overnight. After the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with saturated aqueous sodium chloride solution. The organic layer was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was dissolved in 10 ml of toluene. 112 mg (0.492 mmol) of DDQ was added thereto and stirred at 100° C. overnight. After filtration of insoluble matters and evaporation of the solvent under reduced pressure, the filtrate was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with saturated aqueous sodium chloride solution. The organic layer was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by the silica gel chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate=10/1 to 1/1) to obtain the title compound.
