To a stirred solution of racemic (2′R,3R,4′S)-6-chloro-4′-(3-chlorophenyl)-2′-[2-(2,3-dihydroxy-propoxy)-5-(2-trimethylsilanyl-ethynyl)-phenyl]spiro[3H-indole-3,3′-piperidine]-2,6′-dione (7.8 mg, 0.013 mmol) in MeOH (3 ml) was added 2N NaOH (1 mL) dropwise. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min and then extracted with ethyl acetate several times.
