Procedure
About 1 mol of hydrated silica, 0.5 mol of phenol and 1 mol of silicon tetrachloride are slowly added while agitating at ambient pressure and keeping the temperature below the boiling temperature of the mixture for 1 to 2 hours; the reaction is complete in 2 to 8 hours, thereby producing a phenol chlorosilicon acid resinous product. To about 3 parts by weight of the resinous product is added 0.5 to 2 parts by weight of a vegetable oil, linseed oil, while agitating at ambient temperature for 1 to 2 hours; the reaction is complete in 2 to 8 hours, thereby producing an organic silicon acid resinous product.
