Reaction Steps
8.1 g of the compound obtained in Step 3 are dissolved in 80 ml of ethanol. The solution is hydrogenated at normal pressure and room temperature in the presence of 0.39 g of palladium-on-carbon. Filtration and evaporation yield 4.6 g of a liquid which corresponds to the expected product.
