Procedure

A mixture of 2-[5,6-dimethyl-2-(4-nitrophenyl)-4-pyrimidinyloxy]-N-ethyl-N-phenylacetamide (2.3 g) obtained in Example 164, 5% palladiumcarbon (0.4 g), ethanol (30 ml) and chloroform (10 ml) is stirred at room temperature for three hours under hydrogen atmosphere, and the reaction mixture is filtered. The filtrate is concentrated under reduced pressure, and recrystallized from acetonitrile to give a 1/10 hydrate of the desired compound (2.1 g), m.p. 183-185° C.
