Reaction Steps
Following a procedure similar to that described in Example 1(a), but using 547 mg of 2-[1-(4'-fluorobiphenyl-4-yl)ethylideneaminooxy]ethanol (prepared as described in Preparation 27), 931 mg of 5-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-3-tritylthiazolidine-2,4-dione, 577 mg of triphenylphosphine and 366 mg of diethyl azodicarboxylate, 1.29 g of the title compound were obtained as a foam-like solid.
