Reaction Steps
Following a procedure similar to that described in Example 1(a), but using 1.006 g of 2-[1-(4-phenylsulfonylphenyl)ethylideneaminooxy]ethanol (prepared as described in Preparation 35), 1.40 g of 5-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-3-tritylthiazolidine-2,4-dione, 866 mg of triphenylphosphine and 549 mg of diethyl azodicarboxylate, 2.05 g of the title compound were obtained as a foam-like solid.
