Procedure
4 g of the compound of stage 1, dissolved in 40 ml of ether, are added to a suspension of 0.96 g (0.0253 tool) of LiAlH4 in 100 ml of ether. The mixture is heated to reflux for 3 hours. It is cooled and 5% sodium hydroxide is added at room temperature, settling is allowed to take place, the aqueous phase is washed with ether, the ether phases are dried over sodium sulphate and filtered and the filtrate is evaporated. A liquid compound is thereby obtained.
