The crude product from 2e was dissolved in 5 ml of THF. 63 μl of triethylamine and 29 μl of trifluoroacetic anhydride were added thereto. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 h and then partitioned between 60 ml of water and 60 ml of ethyl acetate. The aqueous phase was extracted twice with 50 ml of ethyl acetate each time, and the combined organic phases were dried with MgSO4. The solvents were removed in vacuo and the residue was purified by chromatography on silica gel.
