To a stirred solution of (2-methylpropyl)[2-methyl-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]amine (50 mg, 0.216 mmol) in pyridine (5 mL) in air, at room temperature, was added ethyl 3-[4-(chlorosulfonyl)phenyl]-2,2-dimethylpropanoate (65.9 mg, 0.216 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at 20° C. for 30 minutes, then stood overnight. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo to give the crude material which was then purified by MDAP (Method F) to give the required product, 20 mg. LCMS (M+1) 500, RT 1.53 mins.
