According to the general procedure 1, methyl 4-[(aminocarbothioyl)amino]butanoate (prepared from methyl 3-aminobutanoate, hydrochloride salt (Fluka), following procedure D) is added to a solution of N-[5-(bromoacetyl)-4-methyl-1,3-thiazol-2-yl]acetamide, hydrobromide salt (Intermediate 1) and TEA (3 eq) in EtOH/Acetone 2:1 mixture. The mixture is stirred for 5 hours at RT. The solvents are evaporated and the desired product is suspended in water, filtrated and dried under vacuo. Methyl 4-{[2′-(acetylamino)-4′-methyl-4,5′-bi-1,3-thiazol-2-yl]amino}butanoate is isolated as a yellow solid (166.00 mg; 83.63%).
