Reaction Steps
Methanesulfonic acid (46 μl) was added at room temperature to a solution of trans-5-methyl-N-{6-[4-(morpholin-4-yl)cyclohexyl]pyridin-3-yl}-1-[5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (329 mg) in tetrahydrofuran (12 ml) and ethanol (6.0 ml), and stirred at the same temperature for five hours. After the reaction, the solvent was evaporated, ethyl acetate was added to the resulting residue and the precipitated solid was filtered to give the titled compound (389 mg) as a white solid.
