Procedure

Sodium borohydride (116.8 mg) was added under ice-cooling to a solution of 1-[3-fluoro-5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yl]-5-methyl-N-[5-methyl-6-(4-oxocyclohexan-1-yl)pyridin-3-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (211 mg) described in Example F34 in methanol (3 ml) and stirred at the same temperature for 30 minutes. After the reaction, water was added and extracted with chloroform. The organic layer was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate and concentrated. The resulting residue was fractionated with HPLC (water-acetonitrile:containing 0.05% trifluoroacetic acid). The obtained fraction was neutralized by the addition of 10% sodium carbonate, and the precipitates was filtered and dried at 60° C. under current of air to give the titled compound (92 mg) as a white solid.
