Prepared from 4-bromobenzenesulfonyl chloride (4.56 g, 17.9 mmol) and 4-amino-3,5-dimethylisoxazole (2.02 g, 18.0 mmol) in pyridine (36 ml) according to the method of intermediate 1, to give the title compound as a white solid (5.15 g, 15.5 mmol, 87%). 5H (CDCl3, 300K) 7.69 (2H, dd, J=6.9 Hz 1.7 Hz), 7.65 (2H, dd, J=6.9 Hz 1.7 Hz), 6.11 (1H, s), 2.12 (3H, s), 1.91 (3H, s). m/z (ES+, 70V) 333.0 (MH+).
