Reaction Steps
To a solution of tert-butyl N-[(1S,2S)-2-(N-cyclobutyl2,6-dimethoxybenzamido)cyclopentyl]carbamate (1.34 g, 3.20 mmol) in methanol (11 ml) was added HCl in 1,4-dioxane (4 M, 8.00 ml, 32.0 mmol). The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 17 hours (overnight) and then was concentrated in vacuo, azeotropically distilled with toluene to afford the title compound.
