To tert-butyl 3-(4-(methylsulfonamido)phenyl)-4-oxo-1-phenyl-1,3,8-triazaspiro[4.5]decane-8-carboxylate (0.91 g, 1.82 mmol) was added 4M solution of HCl in dioxane (10 mL). After stirring at room temperature for 18 hours, the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo to obtain N-(4-(4-oxo-1-phenyl-1,3,8-triazaspiro[4.5]decan-3-yl)phenyl)methanesulfonamide as a hydrochloride salt (0.7 g).
