Reaction Steps
2 ml of trifluoroacetic acid is added to 25 mg of ester 7-3 in 5 ml of dichloromethane, agitation is carried out for 2 hours at ambient temperature then 10 ml of toluene is added. After evaporating under reduced pressure, taking up in dichloromethane and crystallizing by adding an Et2O/pentane mixture. 20 mg of 7-4 is obtained.
