Procedure

15.0 g of meso-erythritol, 15.0 g of glycerol and 0.3 g of sodium hydroxide were reacted in a nitrogen atmosphere at 240° C. and 200-230 mmHg for two hours. After-treatment was carried out in the same manner as in Example 1. 25.8 g of a colorless viscous liquid was obtained.
