Reaction Steps
Using the procedure of Example 9, the product of Step B and (1R, cis, ΔZ) 2,2-dimethyl-3-(3-methoxy-3-oxo-1-propenyl)-cyclopropane-carboxylic acid were reacted to obtain (R, S) cyano-(2-phenoxy-5-thiazolyl)-methyl (1R, cis, ΔZ) 2,2-dimethyl-3-(3-methoxy-3-oxo-1-propenyl)-cyclopropane-carboxylate with a specific rotation of [α]D20 =+60°±2° (c=1% chloroform).
