Procedure

The title compound was prepared from 4-chloro-2-(3-pyridinyl)-6-trifluoromethylpyrimidine (60 mg, 0.23 mmol) and 5-hydroxy-2-nitroaniline (52 mg, 0.34 mmol) similar to Example 180. The reaction mixture was neutralized with 2N NaOH to pH 7.0 and the solvent was removed under vacuo. The product was purified by column chromatography (20% ethyl acetate in hexane) to give 55 mg (63%) of the title compound as a light yellow solid. 1H NMR (CDCl3): 9.40 (d, J=1.2 Hz, 1H), 8.71 (dd, J=1.2, 4.8 Hz, 1H), 8.57 (ddd, J=2.1, 3.9, 7.8 Hz, 1H), 8.04 (d, J=2.7 Hz, 1H), 7.42 (dd, J=3.9, 8.7 Hz, 1H), 7.32 (dd, J=6.0, 9.0 Hz, 1H), 7.23 (s, 1H), 6.92 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 1H), 6.19 (s, 2H).
