Reaction Steps

To a mixture of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (10 mmol) and (A) (10 mmol) in DMF (40 ml) was added EDC (12.5 mmol) and HOBt (10 mmol). The reaction was stirred at RT for 4 hours and diluted with DCM (100 ml). The mixture was washed with water three times and dried with Na2SO4. The solution was evaporated and the residue was further purified by column chromatography to give the title compound (Z).
