Following the above procedure, but using in place of the 4-(2,2-dimethyl-1-oxopropyl)-benzamide an equivalent amount of 4-(2,2-dimethyl-1-oxopropyl)-N-methylbenzamide, there is obtained 4-(2,2-dimethyl-1-oxopropyl)-N-methyl-N-[4-(2,2-dimethyl-1-oxopropyl)-benzoyl]-benzamide (m.p. 121.5°-122.5° C.).
